The city’s major theaters, which feature the more grandiose plays, can be found on Corrientes Avenue and its side streets, which offer a broad array of genres such as music hall, musicals and independent drama. The Complejo Teatral de Buenos Aires is comprised of five theaters owned by the Government’s Culture Secretariat:  San Martín, Alvear, Regio, De la Ribera and Sarmiento.
